About the Event
Join us for your opportunity to hear Bill Nicks, a local first-person historical reenactor, entertain and inform our group about the life and legacy of Dr. James Naismith. The recent NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship of the Kansas Jayhawks makes this program especially timely!
Bill lives in Lenexa and serves on the Lenexa City Council. He is currently the Grinter Place site administrator for the Kansas State Historical Society. He held the position of Lenexa’s first Parks & Recreation Director for 29 years. Bill enjoys making history come alive with his presentations and historically-themed bus tours. He has created a company called HistoryKC.com.
