Dr. Jamie Retallick - Director of KSVDL

Dr. Retallick earned her DVM from K State, did a veterinary pathology residency at University of Nebraska-Lincoln, taught pathology at University of  Wisconsin-Madison, and is now the Director of the  Kansas State Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory  (KSVDL). During the coronavirus pandemic KSVDL assisted by  donating personal protective equipment, opening their  labs for testing, and researching the effects and spread  the coronavirus has from people to animals. On a daily basis KSDVL provides services and test  results to Kansas veterinarians, ranchers, pet owners,  zoos, and industry and governmental partners. The  rabies laboratory alone at KSVDL processes over  80,000 samples each year!
